Hello friends and fellow paleo enthusiasts! My name is Emily, and this blog is a collection of musings about my own paleo journey. If you’re new to the paleo diet, I suggest you take a look at the overviews by Sébastien Noël here or Mark Sisson here.
Basically, the paleo diet is a movement from the overprocessed diet of the 21st century to one that more closely resembles the diet of a hunting-gathering society. After reading countless blog posts and articles on the paleo diet, I couldn’t think of any reason not to try it! I’m working on cutting out all processed foods, grains, legumes, and refined sugar, as well as chemicals and preservatives. Along the way I’m also finding lots of fun ways to stay fit and have a healthy lifestyle!
I’m a university student living with my non-paleo family and working a part-time job at a popular coffee chain which specializes in all of the delicious things that I’m avoiding. It’s sometimes difficult to fit my paleo plan into the rest of my lifestyle, but I’m slowly learning to make it work! This blog is my way of spreading my support to you while you challenge yourself to your own paleo journey. I love food, and I love experimenting in my kitchen. I’m always armed with my favourite paleo ingredients, lots of recipe blogs, and my camera phone.
